21 Days for 25 Years - Day 15

Tonight was unreal! For the past few evenings, we’ve noticed a school of stingrays feeding right in front of our condo, and it’s been so cool to watch. But tonight, we took it up a notch and jumped in the water to swim with them. It was incredible! Being right there with them, seeing how they moved so smoothly through the water—it was like we were part of their world for a little while. It's a moment we’ll never forget!

The school of stingrays is directly in front of Bill and Bekka snorkeling. Sometimes it was easier to see them with our faces out of the water, depending on how much sand they whipped up.

Once we finished our swim, the school of stingrays came back for a visit.

While swimming with the stingrays, we were in for another surprise—a sea lion was right there with us, feeding on the reef! And if that wasn’t enough, we spotted a bale of turtles nearby. These weren’t just any turtles either—they were absolutely massive, some of the biggest we’ve ever seen. It felt like we’d stumbled into our own little underwater adventure, surrounded by all these incredible creatures.

The biggest turtle we saw had a head the size of a small cantaloupe, and he couldn’t have cared less that we were swimming nearby. He had this whole "just let me eat in peace" and "don't touch my food" vibe going on. His swimming buddy, on the other hand, was way more friendly. With a head the size of a softball, we nicknamed him "Snuggles." He was all about the attention—ditching eating to parade back and forth in front of us. He was so adorable, and now I seriously want a turtle!

We’d already gone snorkeling earlier in the morning, but tonight’s swim totally blew that out of the water—literally. It was so incredible, I’m not sure we could top it even if we tried!
