21 Days for 25 Years - Day 4

victoriousmother

Finally! I think we’ve fully recovered from traveling. We woke up feeling normal, even though my family is far from normal.

Today started like all the rest: a walk on the beach, a visit to the pool and hot tub, and a large breakfast of steak and eggs—a bougie breakfast. It’s the only way to vacation!

After breakfast, we almost headed to Snorkel Bob’s to get our snorkeling gear, but it was warm and rainy, so we opted for what any “good” tourist would do…we drove to visit the Maui Tropical Plantation. This place is 100% a tourist trap, complete with a ginormous gift shop.

The grounds were gorgeous, and that allowed me to snap a few cute pics of the kiddos as we toured the area.

Everything is so green here, which made all of us discuss moving out of Arizona once again. Ironically, Hawaii didn't even make the top ten states to move to. But we all agreed we needed grass and trees back in our lives.

If only we could move my favorite tropical tree, the plumeria, with us on our next move.

When greenery and farm life are what you desperately miss, you spend the rest of the day frolicking in the fields chasing chickens and baby ducks.

And then you end your excursion with oversized cookies and local ice cream.

At least most of us stayed awake today.

Solly still doesn't know where he sleeps at night, which is a sign of a really good day.
