We're so close to the finish line. We take possession of the Raptor this Thursday, and there's only the garage and attic to pack up and move into storage. Those are the most challenging rooms; the garage is ginormous, capable of holding eight vehicles. We saved the best for last. (sarcasm - in case that wasn't obvious)
The Raptor will be delivered Thursday afternoon, and Lord willing, we will be thoroughly moved in by the end of the weekend. The current plan is to keep the Raptor on the property until we put the house on the market.
Remember, the goal to list our home was October 1st.
Bill and I are long-time cardholders of "Go Big or Go Home." We struggle with "that's good enough" and "let the new homeowner figure out what to do with this space." We see a blank slate and want to do "all the things" to it. So, determining what must be done before we list our home has been a considerable challenge.

Our first idea was to add two windows to this room. We didn't sit on the idea. Instead, we took a saw and began cutting holes in the side of our home.
Thankfully, there has yet to be an argument where one of us wants to do a project, and the other is adamant that it should not be done. Unfortunately, it's almost worse than arguing. One of us says, "I think this needs to be done/fixed before we list" our home, and the other is like the bad friend who hands an alcoholic hard liquor. "Oh, that's a great idea! And if we do that, we could easily add this three-day project to improve your fabulous idea."

Jubilee is getting on-the-job training to patch drywall.
The spouse with the first idea has stars in their eyes, and within 10 minutes, we just added a 20k remodel to our to-do list.

Putting in two windows wasn't a 20k job, but it sure led to the possibility of several very costly remodels.
Fret not; within a few days, we eventually cross off the idea.
It was only put back on twice, and then, three days later, it was removed again.
We might need professional help or, at the very least, an intervention.
But I love how this room now looks with two big windows. Will we be able to reject all the other ideas? The plot thickens, and the deadline approaches.
